I wrote a short piece on Massin’s incredible work for La Cantatrice Chauve (The Bald Soprano). He’s an amazing designer, master of manual Photoshop tricks! He used to print text onto balloons and rubber to create unique distortions.

Quick Thought
When I go through my daily blog posts on Google Reader (which is an average of 150 items a day!) I use the default keys “J” (as next) and “K” (as previous). It’s funny because as I press the “J” button to advance, I associate “J” and “K” with “just kidding”. “Just…..just….just..just…KIDDING!” And I go back. Tehe.

I’ve got my classes picked out! I’m so excited! Here’s what’s in store for me next year -
FALL
“Text in the Environment” - packaging design, signs, kiosks, etc.
“Design Topics: Core” - portfolio building, presentation packages, business finance
“Design Workshop” - collaborative design projects, work with REAL clients, budgets & deadlines
“Ethics, Morals, Values & Dilemnas” - looking at current events with a critical eye
“Art of Business” - math course covering skills necessary for running own business
SPRING
“Design Thesis” - semester-long independent self-directed GD project
“Senior Synthesis” - research portion of the thesis class/project
“Publishing Lab” - designing print & electronic-based publications
“Human Biology” - theories, origin, evolution, genetic engineering
“Anthropology: Food” - behavioral issues/body image/malnutrition/localization of food & all dealing with FOOD
